Electric Visionary Aircrafts (EVA) was founded on May 9, 2017, with the office opening at Francazal Airport in November in Toulouse, France. The first full-scale prototype will begin testing in early 2019, with certification for the X01 expected in 2022. Based on this timeline, by 2022, EVA plans that people will be able to book a flight on their mobile device.

The X01 seats two passengers (or 250 kg), and can fly autonomously using its RADAR and LIDAR detection. It utilizes 24 all-electric engines for its lift.
