Gasturbine101’s Swarm Multicopter was created by Ian F. Bennett using hobby parts as a passion project in his backyard. The Swarm has 54 counter-rotation propellers and six grouped control channels with KK2.15 stabilization. The take-off weight is 326 lb (148 kg) and the maximum lift is approximately 362 lb (164 kg). The flight length of the Swarm is 10 minutes and the power is approximately 59 hp (22KW).

Early testing included tethered unmanned and then untethered unmanned flights were made in 2013. He posted the video of his manned untethered test on YouTube on Aug. 29, 2015.
