SkyDrive will open a home base in South Carolina and intends to enter the US market for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. In an announcement on Jan. 24 at the Vertical Flight Society’s (VFS) 10th Annual eVTOL Symposium in Mesa, Arizona, SkyDrive said that South Carolina’s mild climate and its tourism and aerospace industries were among the factors that attracted it to the state.
MightyFly has produced the second generation of its electric VTOL (eVTOL) delivery drone, the company announced in a press release on Jan. 24. The Cento is an improved version of the MF-100, a demonstrator the company revealed in April 2021. In the new vehicle, MightyFly has added a single rear-mounted propeller for forward flight and made additional improvements to enhance the efficiency and safety of the aircraft.
