The Digi Robotics Droxi is a small unmanned piloted Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) drone with six electric motors on its fixed wing and stabilizers.
The Droxi is 1.6 m long and .75 m high with a 2.15 m wingspan. It uses two lithium polymer batteries for six 800 W brushless electric motors configured with four on the wing and two on a horizontal stabilizer atop the rudder. The two wingtip motors tilt vertically for accent and landing. It weighs 14 kgs with a 5 kg payload. Cruising speed is 100 km/h (maximum speed 150 km/h) with a ceiling of 5,000 m and standard flight time of 90 minutes. It generally flies within line of sight but can be adapted for a longer range. It also has a Return-to-Home feature and a parachute.
Pilots with basic training use manual controls while an advanced autopilot utilizes software and control systems to constantly ensure stable flight and an accurate course. The M20 can be easily disassembled and packed into a case for transportation.
Modular payloads allow the M20 to be used for a variety of purposes including sensor packages for civil defense, media and film, security and cartography. It also has a lockable cargo pod variant for hospitals, logistics and personal delivery.
