Founded in 2021, Mostavio is a manufacturer of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for advanced air mobility (AAM) and is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The company has stated they focus on safety, sustainability and intelligent design. The mission of the company is to make personal air transportation more accessible, efficient and environmentally responsible. The company successfully designs, manufactures and sells drones under Mostavio Skytech division.
Unnamed passenger eVTOL multicopter aircraft (concept design)
Mostavio is in the process of designing a two to three passenger eVTOL multicopter aircraft. The aircraft has yet to be named. The aircraft is expected to have a very modern look and be a fully electric VTOL aircraft for advanced air mobility. The company's MX1 eVTOL aircraft is being used as the starting point for to design the larger unnamed aircraft.
As of early 2026, there are few specifications about this aircraft except that it will hold two to three people and it will be a multicopter. The company offers an option for the customer to purchase an emergency ballistic parachute.
While few specifications are available for this aircraft, we do know some design features of the aircraft. The aircraft will be a multicopter and will have artificial intelligent-powered navigation, real-time obstacle avoidance and a robust safety architecture. The fuselage is made from carbon fiber composite to give the aircraft a high strength to low weight ratio.
The company has stated the design of the MX1 fuselage (which might be scaled-up for the larger Unnamed Aircraft) was inspired by the shape of the long body of the shark. The shark has smooth lines giving the shark the agility to easily to cut through the ocean. The low nose gives the aircraft a more aggressive and attacking stand. The shoulders in the front of the fuselage and in the rear create a strong and confident character for the aircraft. The design inspires passengers to be thrilled and excited to be flying in the multicopter aircraft. The canopy over the cockpit will provide the passenger with incredible views that will last a lifetime.
Over 1,000 Subscale Drone Flight Tests Announced in 2023
Mostavio announced in 2023 it had successfully completed over 1,000 subscale drone flight tests, a major milestone in the validation of its flight control system and autonomous capabilities. These tests provide critical data for sensor fusion, stability control, and flight controller integration, allowing the company's engineering team to refine system parameters and optimize performance for full-scale eVTOL applications.
Specifications:
- Aircraft type: Passenger eVTOL multicopter aircraft (concept design)
- Piloting: Artificial Intelligent piloting control system, real-time obstacle avoidance
- Capacity: 2-3 person
- Cruise speed: Unknown
- Propellers: Unknown amount of propellers
- Electric motors: Unknown amount of electric motors
- Power source: Battery packs
- Fuselage: Carbon fiber composite
- Window: Most likely a canopy over cockpit
- Landing gear: Fixed skid landing gear
- Safety features: Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP) uses multiple propellers or electric ducted fans, each powered by electric motors, to increase safety through redundancy. If one or more components fail, the remaining ones can still ensure a safe landing. There are also redundancies of critical components in the sub-systems of the aircraft providing safety through redundancy. Having multiple redundant systems on any aircraft decreases having any single point of failure. The aircraft has no moving surfaces or tilting parts when transitioning from vertical to forward flight and the reverse which increases safety by reducing complexity. The multicopter will have artificial intelligence-powered navigation, real-time obstacle avoidance and a robust safety architecture. The company offers an option for the customer to purchase an emergency ballistic parachute.
