Founded in 2022, Moviation is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and is committed to designing and manufacturing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) passenger aircraft for advanced air mobility (AAM). The company is creating an app for on-demand air taxi service in South Korea. The company now operates air taxi service using helicopters and has future plans to replace all their helicopters with eVTOL aircraft.
Currently, the company will offer urban air mobility using helicopters in June 2023 through an app, to shuttle passengers from downtown Seoul to Incheon International Airport and other destinations in South Korea. The service will include vertistop lounges, food and beverage services, luggage transportation and premium first and last mile ground transportation to make the passenger's trip luxurious and easy.
The company's goal is to become experts in helicopter air taxi service and then transfer this knowledge and ability to offer the same service using eVTOL aircraft. In the next several years, the company will use as many existing vertiports for the air service and determine if more are needed for their customers. The company will then construct more vertiports to make sure they have enough vertiports for the future eVTOL air taxi service. The company will also learn what the customer's needs and wants are to make ensure the eVTOL passenger aircraft used for air taxi advanced air mobility will provide exceptional service to their customers.
The Vonaer eVTOL passenger air taxi concept design aircraft will be fully electric and might hold one pilot and four passengers. From the picture above, the company plans to make an eVTOL aircraft using tilt-propellers and will be optimized for long range travel by using one main high wing. The aircraft fuselage seems to have plenty of space for passengers and will be capable of handling multiple pieces of luggage. The aircraft has fixed tricycle landing struts which work well on most VTOL aircraft.
