Founded January 2012, Steve Kozloff is the Head Designer at The Goliath Series Yachts and Nimbl Vehicles and both companies are located in California, USA. While Kozloff is a prolific yacht designer, he has recently spread his wings to designing hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) passenger aircraft.

The Pegasus aircraft is a four passenger hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft which also has the ability to take off and land using a runway. The aircraft is estimated to have a cruise speed of 345 mph (555 km/h) with a four hour flight time because of its petroleum powered engine and its two large 11 ft (3.35 m) tilt-props. The range of the aircraft is estimated to be1,381 miles (2,222 km). In addition, using a petroleum powered engine and electric propellers reduces combining rotor transmissions, drive shafts and other mechanical linkages which reduces the weight of the aircraft, its complexity, purchase cost, maintenance costs, increases its range and increases the reliability of the aircraft.

Based on its high performance estimates, the company foresees the aircraft take offs on a runway only using 400 ft (122 meters) of the landing strip. In addition, a runway landing can be very short, if needed, due to the ability of the aircraft to reverse the direction of the propellers while landing.

Vertical takeoff and landing aircraft are a necessity when transporting passengers to and from a yacht. In addition, the Pegasus aircraft will also be very useful for yacht owners because the long range of the aircraft will reduce the amount of time to travel to and from yachts. The aircraft will allow many yacht owners to fly directly from their homes to their yacht without the extra time needed when using cars, conventional airplanes, or trains for transportation.

No additional information has been provided by the company on any timelines for making technology demonstrators, prototypes or the possible estimated year for production aircraft.
