The information provided here is as accurate as possible; however, eVTOL information from China is sometimes sparse, incomplete or conflicting. China is promoting what they call the "low-altitude economy" — a new push for general aviation — which includes both crewed and uncrewed passenger and air cargo eVTOL aircraft.
This model appears to be able to use multiple power sources such as batteries, hybrid-electric and turboshaft engines but this information to date, is not clear.
Aerial Rider or also known as the ZTYT Feixia Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2023. Its roots go back to its original company forming in 2001 which developed UAVs, aerial cameras and other technologies. The original company created and successfully tested a helicopter parachute system in 2014. The company has kept evolving until Aerial Rider was formed and the company is in the business of making air cargo and passenger hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft. The company also manufactures turboshaft drones and aircraft. The slogan of the company is "let everyone enjoy the joy of flying."
As of January 2025, not much is known about their aircraft because their are very few specifications on their website. In addition, their press releases don't explain have names of their aircraft, very little specifications and provide very little information on their aircraft. One of the company's press releases names an aircraft the "Jumbo" and another one called the "Big Mac". However, no description of either of these aircraft is listed in the press releases. There is also a mention of a 9A01 aircraft but no information is available.
In fact, their website has no phone number listed, their contact email address doesn't work and the company's contact form on their website does not work. If anyone knows how to contact this company by phone or email, please email us here: info@eVTOL.news
5A07 uncrewed air cargo VTOL concept design helicopter
The 5A07 is an uncrewed air cargo VTOL concept design helicopter. This small helicopter looks similiar to the U.S. Army's Chinook helicopter. The helicopter is either flown remotely, on autopilot or autonomously. The company foresees the small helicopter to be used for carrying mail and for medical patient transportation. The company website has no specifications on this drone helicopter. However, the helicopter might be scalable.
The helicopter has two tandem three-bladed main rotorblades and possibly uses electric motors or tradition mechanical linkages to power the rotorblades. The power source for the helicopter could be conventional, all batteries, a hybrid system or a hybrid-hydrogen power source. The fuselage will be made from carbon fiber composite material for a high strength to low weight ratio.
The air cargo or patient loads from the rear of the helicopter, as in the Chinook. The helicopter can also carry sling loads under the belly of the fuselage. The company also predicts the uncrewed helicopter would be very useful in the carrying of medical supplies. The helicopter has fixed skid landing gear.
Specifications:
- Aircraft type: Uncrewed multirole air cargo helicopter
- Piloting: Remote, autopilot or autonomous
- Capacity:
- Cruise speed: Unknown
- Propellers: 2 tandem main rotorblade, each main rotorblades have 2 rotor blades
- Electric motors: Unknown if the helicopter uses electric motors
- Power source: Has multiple engine configurations, such as using a turboshaft engine, hybrid or hydrogen technologies
- Fuselage: Carbon fiber composite
- Landing gear: Fixed skid landing gear
- Safety features: Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP) uses multiple propellers or electric ducted fans, each powered by electric motors, to increase safety through redundancy. If one or more components fail, the remaining ones can still ensure a safe landing. There are also redundancies of critical components in the sub-systems of the aircraft providing safety through redundancy. Having multiple redundant systems on any aircraft decreases having any single point of failure. There is also a whole aircraft emergency ballistic parachute in case of an unexpected inflight emergency.
