Hari Krishnan G is based in Kottayam, India and is a computer graphics artist and graphic designer. Krishnan focuses mainly on motion graphics, compositing and lighting and rendering. In 2008, Krishnan was an early designer of a passenger electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) multicopter aircraft and roadable vehicle concept design for advanced air mobility (AAM).
Reconnaissance Copter passenger eVTOL and roadable concept design vehicle
The Reconnaissance Copter is a one passenger eVTOL rotorcraft and roadable concept design vehicle specifically designed for daily transportation for the masses. Even though the vehicle has one main high dihedral wing, the vehicle is so small, the inventor proposes the aircraft can be used in close quarters in urban areas.
The vehicle has been slated to have autonomous piloting by Artificial Intelligence (AI) when the technology becomes available. The cockpit has a full bubble type helicopter windshield providing excellent views for the passenger. There is an air intake opening at the top of the cockpit. The cockpit has plenty of space for grocery bags, a gym bag, items purchased at a store, an office brief case or luggage.
The aircraft has two electric ducted propellers on the ends of the one high dihedral main wing and are powered by electric motors. The aircraft is powered by batter packs. The fuselage is made carbon fiber composite material to provide a high strength and low weight ratio for the vehicle. For road travel, there are two fixed powered tires that double as landing gear for the aircraft.
The inventor foresees future safety technologies that would include collision avoidance systems and in case of an in flight emergency, there is a whole aircraft emergency ballistic parachute
