Airborne & Venturi Partner on Composite Structures

Dutch firms Venturi Aviation and Airborne have partnered to develop composite lightweight structures for the Echelon 01, Venturi’s planned all-electric commuter aircraft. In a Feb. 3 press release, Airborne said that the collaboration is aimed at producing more efficient and scalable manufacturing processes than those found in traditional aviation. Venturi unveiled the Echelon 01 in January 2021 and intends to launch the aircraft in 2028, with volume production beginning the following year. The Echelon 01 will have a 44-seat capacity and 500-km range.
