ARC Aerosystems Unveils 3-Seat Linx
ARC Aerosystems, formerly Samad Aerospace, will develop a three-seat all-electric gyroplane called the Linx P3, the UKbased company announced at the Paris Air Show on June 21. The Linx P3 and the Linx P9 rotor systems will be based on the Avian 2/180 Gyroplane (later marketed as the “Pegasus III”) which was certified by Transport Canada in the early 1960s. ARC acquired the intellectual property rights, type certification and sole surviving example of the Pegasus III earlier this year (see “Electric VTOL News,” Vertiflite, March/April 2023). Unlike the 9-passenger winged, hybrid-electric P9, however, the Linx P3 will be a wingless, all-electric rotorcraft.
