AutoFlight Applies for Certification

On April 30, AutoFlight said it had submitted its application to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for the certification of its Prosperity I eVTOL aircraft. With its five-seat, piloted Prosperity I, AutoFlight is seeking to become the second eVTOL aircraft producer to be certified in China, following the CAAC’s approval of the EHang EH216-S aircraft in October 2023 (see “A Small Step for EHang, a Giant Leap for eVTOL,” Vertiflite, Nov/Dec 2023). Earlier this year, the CAAC certified AutoFlight’s CarryAll, an autonomous, uncrewed version of the Prosperity I.
