CityAirbus Flies Free

Airbus Helicopters tweeted a video on Jan. 10 of its CityAirbus demonstrator, stating, “The fully electric #VTOL started untethered hover testing in Donauwörth at the end of 2019” (though not specifying a date). Envelope expansion flights will now be conducted nearby at Ingolstadt Manching Airport, home of the Airbus Defence and Space flight test center. CityAirbus is an all-electric, four-seat, multicopter vehicle demonstrator that the company says is focused on advancing remotely piloted eVTOL flight.
