Doroni Hovers and Raises $3.5M

Doroni Aerospace released a video on March 1 of a full-scale prototype of the Doroni H1 eVTOL aircraft conducting a free flight test. As of mid-June, Doroni had completed more than 50 test flights with its first prototype at the company’s facility in Pompano Beach, Florida. According to the VFS World eVTOL Aircraft Directory, the Doroni H1 is a two-seat aircraft with an expected maximum payload capacity of 500 lb (227 kg).

Doroni announced on May 16 that it raised $3.5M in a crowdfunding campaign. The campaign was the second for the Miami-based eVTOL developer, which reported an increase in both the total amount raised and the number of individual investors participating in the campaign. On June 5, Doroni announced it was beginning a new fundraising round, known as a Regulation D offering, to build its second prototype.
