Dufour Test Flies Hybrid-Electric Aero2

On Jan. 28, Swiss drone developer Dufour Aerospace announced the completion of several test flights in Zurich with its 331-lb (150-kg) Aero2 autonomous aircraft using its hybrid-electric powertrain. Dufour stated the hybrid-electric Aero2 self-charged its batteries after transitioning from vertical takeoff to forward flight, adding it was the first-ever successful test campaign of its kind.
