Eve Secures Orders, Funding

Eve has secured additional eVTOL aircraft orders and funding. Eve, a subsidiary of Brazil’s Embraer, said on Feb. 16 that it has finalized a potential pre-order of up to 90 eVTOL aircraft from several possible partners in Australia. The agreements, which were announced at the Singapore Airshow, will see Microflite, a helicopter services company based in Victoria, order up to 40 eVTOL aircraft. Avair and Helispirit, part of the HM Consolidated aircraft charter and transport group serving Western Australia, will consider ordering up to 50 eVTOL aircraft.

Acciona, a Spanish renewable energy conglomerate, announced on March 18 that it will invest $30M in Eve. The strategic investment is intended to support the development of AAM infrastructure and assist with Eve’s plan to introduce commercial eVTOL aircraft by 2026. Acciona will finalize the investment after Eve has completed its listing on the New York Stock Exchange, which is expected in the second quarter of 2022. Acciona chairman and CEO Jose Manuel Entrecanales will join Eve’s board of directors.
