Limosa Unveils LimoConnect V2

Limosa, the Quebec, Canada-based eVTOL developer, unveiled the LimoConnect V2 on July 22 in a presentation at the VFS Electric Aircraft Symposium in Oshkosh, Wisconsin (see “Electric Aircraft Symposium Highlights AAM Progress,” Vertiflite, Sept/Oct 2023). Instead of the eight tilt propellers on the earlier design, the new configuration improved stability problems and features four vectored thrust propellers on the main wing and four fixed propellers for hover, two of which are located on the tail. The new design is expected to have a cruising speed of 200 mph (322 km/h) and range of 150 miles (240 km) with a one-hour endurance. The LimoConnect is expected to have a seven-passenger capacity, an area in which the company sees a potential advantage over other, smaller eVTOL aircraft designs. Limosa is planning to obtain a type certification for the aircraft from Transport Canada Civil Aviation in 2028 and is eyeing market opportunities around Canada’s main cities, as well as potential routes in other countries.
