NASA Report on Fuel Cell Model for H2 eVTOL Aircraft

NASA is publishing contractor report CR—20210000284, entitled, "PEM Fuel Cell Model for Conceptual Design of Hydrogen eVTOL Aircraft," written by Dr. Anubhav Datta, Associate Professor at the Alfred Gessow Rotorcraft Center of the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. Dated "January 2021," it has only become available this week. 

The report provides a brief history (Chapter 2), presents the current infrastructure (Chapter 3), and gives conclusions (Chapter 15), as well as requirements and recommendations for the future (Chapter 16). Chapters 4-14 are for engineers interested in conceptual sizing. The code for the model used is also included (Chapter 18) so that anyone could use it for further study and analysis.

Datta was a founding member and is the technical advisor to the VFS Hydrogen eVTOL Council.
