Urban Aeronautics Raises $10M
In a press release on Sept. 14, Urban Aeronautics announced that it had secured a $10M investment from private investors toward the development of its hydrogen-powered CityHawk eVTOL. The Yavne, Israel-based company is in the process of raising a Series A round of at least $100M. The CityHawk features a unique, wingless design resembling that of a car. According to the VFS World eVTOL Aircraft Directory, Urban Aeronautics unveiled an updated CityHawk design in July 2021 that incorporates new flight controls and navigation systems. The updated CityHawk is expected to have a seating capacity of four passengers, a range of 100 miles (160 km) and a maximum speed of 150 mph (240 km).
