Jaunt Partners with Redwings

Redwings, a Mexico-based provider of private airplane services, intends to acquire up to 20 Jaunt Air Mobility Journey eVTOL aircraft. Under the terms of a letter of intent signed by the two companies on April 26, Redwings plans on purchasing 10 aircraft and has an option for an additional 10. Redwings and Jaunt will further cooperate on launching AAM services in Mexico City and other urban locales. In a statement, Redwings President Bernardo Moreno said that the Jaunt eVTOL aircraft offered the possibility of efficient VTOL operations in a highaltitude environment like Mexico’s capital. The news comes as AIRO Group, Jaunt’s parent company, is preparing to go public by merging with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), Kernal Group Holdings, within the next few months (see “Jaunt Prepares SPAC,” Vertiflite, May/June 2023).
