Skyworks Announces Up to 200 Orders
As this issue was going to press, Skyworks Aeronautics announced the order of 100 eGyro electric gyroplanes by a consortium of Mint Air and Mobius.energy, with options for an additional 100. The consortium signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for exclusive partnership in South Korea and will collaborate with Skyworks to develop a pilot training program and maintenance and repair capability in Korea. The eGyro will leverage Mobius’ novel battery module architecture and low total cost of ownership providing power-as-a-service business model; Mint Air is building an AAM service in South Korea and envisions assembling eGyros in Korea. In February, Skyworks had announced a $100M investment commitment from GEM Global Yield LLC SCS, a fund of the Luxembourg Global Emerging Markets (GEM) investment group.
