Autoflight Unveils New Models
Autoflight Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. unveiled its unmanned V400 “Albatross” for logistics on Sept. 13 at the 2020 World UAV Conference held in Shenzhen, China, and also announced its eVTOL product development roadmap. V400 has two models with fully electric and hybrid-electric power, respectively. Both models have a 880-lb (400-kg) maximum takeoff weight and a 220-lb (100-kg) payload capacity. With a full payload, the V400 electric model has a 160 nm (300-km) range while the V400 hybrid model has up to 540 nm (1,000-km) range. V400 is also designed for taking off at up to 16,400-ft (5,000-m) density altitude. Autoflight have completed the construction of V400 prototype and plan to make the maiden flight by year’s end. In addition to its V600 two-seat eVTOL, the company also announced its much larger V1000 eVTOL cargo drone, F240 firefighting multicopter and V1200 eVTOL air taxi, which is under development.
